Dan’s Congressional Office will be the first to implement
"The Guest Constituents"
program

Yes, this is Joaquín Castro’s Office, but you get the idea, right?

DESCRIPTION:

Every workday, (at least 250 days per year) three constituents will spend the entire workday with Dan - one Independent, one Democrat, and one Republican. All three, (and all Dan’s 750,000 constituents) by virtue of being taxpayers, are in truth "Dan’s employers", who have a right to see what their employee (Dan) is doing, when he’s on the job.

That’s how employment works, right?

These three Constituents (a new crew daily, or individuals may serve for up to five consecutive days) will observe, advise, give counsel, as any boss would their employee.

This will guarantee accountability and transparency in Dan’s activities, despite Congress' self-exemption from the full disclosure/open public records law, FOIA.

The Guest Constituents program will also provide an opportunity for Constituents of differing views, meetiing in Dan’s office during their “tours of duty” (observing Dan) to begin relationships with one another across the partisan divide, and over the course of an 8 – 40 hour visit in Dan’s office, they’ll begin to understand one another better, and begin to dial down the partisan hostility that feeds our increasing movement towards extremism, both Left and Right.

Extremism is not limited to Capitol Hill. Building relationships is part of dialing it down.

The Guest Constituent Program , will also allow Dan to skip joining the other Members of Congress who typically spend three hours per day, "Dialing for Dollars". ( And hate it ! )

If Dan needs buckets of money to get re-elected in gerrymandered Maryland, even after 1,500 constituents have directly observed him at work over the course of two years, then he must be a really lousy Member, and he deserves to be GONE.​

We'll make Dan’s actual job performance - directly observed - the key to his re-election, and his money-raising skill will become a non-issue.
